Welcome to Year 2 of the Hop Nation USA podcast. We're kicking it off with a return visit from our friends at First Sip Brew Box, Dennis and Sammie. They're bringing us hot sauces crafted with craft beer! Adam and Steve review the hot sauces, talk about what's new at First Sip, and get into other foodstuffs made with craft beer. In the final segment, Adam, Dennis, and Sammie play a hot pepper guessing game with dire consequences. We also drink a craft beer, too.
Wild Barrel Asian Sriracha Lager
Wild Barrel Garlic Serrano Farmhouse
Wild Barrel Roasy Chiptole Pale Ale
Neshaminy Creek Imperial Chocolate Mudbank Stout
Sam, Adam, and Steve celebrate a full year's worth of episodes with a new brew, new you attitude. They bring on beers new to the show, new to each other, and new to themselves in prepartion for the next year. They talk about a new Pittsburgh brewery, Founder's latest attempt to steal business from macros, and the Brewer's Association new style guidelines. Sam brings back tales from the New Jersey craft scene...which aren't very flattering save for a few, and the boys take a look back at the past 52 episodes.
Pizza Boy Swingle Pineapple Lager
Victory Sour Monkey Belgian
Burial Griddle Imperial Espresso Stout
This week Adam and Steve are joined by fellow podcaster Sean from the In Poor Taste podcast. With spring about to be sprung, it's time for everyone to spruce up their life and the boys do just that by drinking spruce beers. They talk about the new Brewdog hotel, learn the history of spruce beers as well as city-states named Danzig, and Adam introduces a great new game that's so hard it devolves into the appropriate levels of silliness.
Alaskan Winter Ale
Yards Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce
Dogfish Head Pennsylvania Tuxedo
Despite the Nor'Easters and Pennsylvanian second winter, Adam and Steve say goodbye to stout weather as spring is right around the corner. What better way than to drink stouts? While they drink they also talk spit beer, Trump tariffs, KBS week, craft beer in Las Vegas and at the NASCAR track. Steve makes a lot of references to Motörhead, and they end the episode with a rousing game of "Would You Rather?"
Wildcard Reason for the Season Coffee Stout
Brewery Vivant Tart Side of the Moon
Dogfish Head Wood-Aged Bitches Brew
This week Sam, Adam, and Steve are joined by craft beer connoisseur and marketer Jason Cercone. He sits down with the boys to discuss Breaking Brews, Pittsburgh Libations week, the ever growing Pittsburgh craft beer scene as well as the growing localization of all adult beverages. Then the whole show gets silly and they ask Jason to pair beers with WWE stars past and present. All the while, they drink and review new can releases from local brewers in the Pittsburgh Area.
